At the cold-game test held on 23 May Reedrunner's Iris and Marianne Ankjær achieved a first prize in the open class. They are now qualified to run in trials in the open class.

First prize to Trompeterbakken's Zoffy
At the official open class trial held on 14 December Trompeterbakken's Zoffy and Marianne Ankjær got a first prize.
They are now qualified to participate in the winner's class at official working tests, cold-game tests and trials.
First prizes to two Trompeterbakken dogs
At the official cold-game test held on 10 August Trompeterbakken's Dodo and Marianne Ankjær achieved a first prize in the beginner's class. They are now qualified to participate in the open class. Moreover, Trompeterbakken's Zoffy and Marianne Ankjær achieved a first prize in the open class. They are now qualified to run in open class trials. Marianne looks forward to this very much.

Trompeterbakkens Cino passes obedience test
On 2 September Trompeterbakkens Cino and Palle Nygaard passed the obedience test. They were also awarded the title of the best obedience test dog of the day. Congratulations. Now they are qualified to run in cold-game and working tests in the beginner's class.

On 24 May we unfortunately had to have Grace put down because of poor health.

On 5 May Trompeterbakken's Zoffy & Marianne Ankjær passed the obedience test.
They are now qualified to run in official tests in the beginner's class when Zoffy is one year old.
Trompeterbakken's Vippippi no 2 at Danish Championship
At the Danish Championship in the so-called Nordic Programme under DCH Trompeterbakkens' Vippippi & Henning Rohde won silver. Vippippi had just turned three.
They are now on the Danish team competing at the Nordic Championship to be held in Norway in September.

Trompeterbakken's Penny - Skinner's Cup - Finnish team
Trompeterbakken's Penny, called Alice, and Pauliina Ahola are on the Finnish team competing at Skinner's Cup in England in May. We wish them all the best.

Puppy seminar 8 November
On 8 November three puppies and their owners met at our address. We enjoyed seeing the puppies. They are growing and enjoy life in their new homes.

On 21 September Elvira was put to sleep.
After a short period during which she did not want to eat and run, her life was no longer worthy.
She was 12 years old.
She will be missed.

On 25 April Trompeterbakken's Willow & Marianne Ankjær passed the obedience test. They are now qualified to run in official cold-game tests - beginner's class - and working tests - beginner's class.

Trompeterbakken's Sammy passed qualifying test
On 11 April Trompeterbakken's Sammy passed the DRK qualifiying test. In other words, she lives up to the Kennel Klub standard as to her looks, and she walks properly to heel, retrieves a marked bird nicely from water and on land and she searches an area properly for game.
Trompeterbakken's Sammy 1st prize open class B - best dog
On 4 April at the official cold-game test in Fynen Trompeterbakken's Sammy & Marianne Ankjær achieved a first prize. They were also awarded the title of the best dog in the class out of 29 dogs.
Trompeterbakken's Sammy is now qualified to run in the winner's class at official cold-game tests and working tests.

IWT 2014
In the first weekend of July IWT will be held in Denmark. We are privileged because we'll be helping at the test. We look forward to seeing good dog work and meeting many of the retriever people from other countries we have met through our own participation at IWT and Skinner's Cup among other international tests.
Benholm Evie no longer among us
On 21 May Evie was put to sleep. Her life was no longer worthy. Evie was about to turn 15 years of age. We'll miss her.
Four generations gathered
In May we had gathered four generations, viz. Trompeterbakken's Willow, Trompeterbakken's Sammy, Trompeterbakken's Elvira and Benholm Evie.
Trompeterbakken's Vita passed DRK obedience test
On 4 May Trompeterbakken's Vita, called Rita, & Finn Gyvel passed DRK's obedience test and achieved maximum points. Congratulations.
This implies that this season three puppies from the same litter, viz. Trompeterbakken's Vita, Valde and Vicka, passed the obedience test with maximum points. We are very proud.

Puppy seminar
On 16 March we held a seminar for the puppies from our W litter. We enjoyed seeing the puppies again. We were very satisfied with their performance and relationship with their handler.
Jubilee: 25 + 40 years
At the annual general meeting of the local retriever club it was announced that Marianne had been a member of the Danish Retriever Club for 25 years and Thorleif had been a member for 40 years.
Puppy seminar
On 12 January we held a pupppy seminar for the W litter. We enjoyed seeing the puppies and their families again. All puppies had been socialised really well. We did som exercises, including the bucket exercise.
2013
Three generations
On 24 December we went for a walk in a park in Copenhagen with three generations of our breed: Trompeterbakken's Willow, Trompeterbakken's Sammy, Trompeterbakken's Elvira.

Trompeterbakken's Grace 4th winner
At the trial held on 2 November in Borreby Trompeterbakken's Grace & Thorleif Rigenstrup came in fourth.
The trial was won by Thirsgaards Lovis & Boye Rasmussen.
According to the judges the standard was not high enough to award any ck or certificate.
Puppy seminar 29 September
Sunday 29 September three of our buyers visited us for a training session. We were very impressed by the good contact between the puppy and his/her owner. We trained heel work, sit, stay and come in. We praised all handlers a lot. They had done a brilliant job. Moreover, we trained steadiness. The puppies were introduced to distractions in the form of balls and dummies being thrown. Something they accepted very quickly.
Puppy seminar 25 August
Sunday 25 August five of our buyers visited us. We enjoyed seeing both the puppies and their owners again. Likewise, we enjoyed seeing that all puppies were doing fine and that their owners had done a good job of socialising the puppies. The handlers exchanged ideas and exercises. Super.

2nd winner - novice class - Trompeterbakken's Teddy & Tibor Pittich
At the officiel working test held in the Czeck Republic on 10 August Trompeterbakken's Teddy & Tibor Pittich achieved 90 points out of 100 in the novice class. With this result they came in second. The test was won by Watergreen Joker & M Incedi with 91 points. Congratulations.

Trompeterbakken's Pippi and Thorleif Rigenstrup passed the DRK qualifying test.
Trompeterbakken's Sammy and Marianne Ankjær achieved a first prize in the beginner's class.
Trompeterbakken's Teddy success at working tests
At the official working test held on 9 March in Hungary Trompeterbakken's Teddy achieved 78 points out of 80 possible. This result placed them as no 2 in the puppy class. Congratulations.

At the official working test held on 6 October 2012 in the Checz Republic Trompeterbakken's Teddy achieved 74 points out of 80 possible. This result placed them as no 4 in the puppy class. Congratulations.
Eye tests - three of our dogs
On 9 February we had three of our dogs eye tested. All tests were clear. The dogs that were tested were Trompeterbakken's Katrine, Trompeterbakken's Sammy, Ardnapondra Tanya.
Trompeterbakken's Grace came in third
At the field trial held on 5 January Trompeterbakken's Grace & Thorleif Rigenstrup came in third. The trial was won by Stenhøjgårds Bonnie. Congratulations.
Grace only needs to win one trial to become a champion.
Unfortunately, she was not so lucky as to draws in the trial season 2012/2013. Hopefully, she will win a trial in the 2013/2014 season.
